The first phase of work deals with the retaining wall, the footbridge, the pilgrims' drop-off area and Saint Joseph reception building
The first phase of work started in May 2019. It consists of:

- the retaining wall of the church project,
- the pilgrims' drop-off area, at the edge of the departmental road, allowing buses to drop off pilgrims in the safety area,
- the pedestrian footbridge over the Bourges, allowing pilgrims to reach the church without hindering the village traffic,
- Saint Joseph reception building (40 rooms and refectories).
In this first phase, as much work as possible is carried out by local companies.
